Student Council

Pia Celestina Klemens
Hello lovely people,
I'm Pia, for those who don't like reading long texts: Vote for me if you want a strong voice for better study conditions, cool events and equality. 💕
I have been active in the FSR for many years now. Thanks to my change of degree programme, I can contribute my experience from both my bachelor's degree and my teacher training to the work of the FSR. It is important to me to continuously improve the study conditions for all students at our faculty and ensure that everyone receives the support they need in their studies. To this end, I sit on the study commission and the teaching profession ‘expert’ commission, among other things. In addition to the normal everyday life of a student, it is above all the many fun events that make for unique years of study. That's why every year I'm involved in organising cool projects for you, such as Feuerzangenbowle, ESE and summer barbecues.
I want to do my part to ensure that you have a wonderful student life.
This year, in addition to the FSR, you can also elect me as deputy equal opportunities officer for the Faculty of Physics. As I mentioned above, it is important to me that everyone can enjoy the best possible student life, and to achieve this, it is essential that we live and improve equality in all areas. I have organised FLINTA meetings in the past together with other wonderful people and can draw on my experience in countless committees such as the faculty council, the senate and appointment committees, where equal opportunities officers are also represented.

Annika Seltmann
Hey, I'm Annika, I come from the Ore Mountains and am currently in my 7th semester of my bachelor's degree in physics. I've been involved in the FSR since my first semester and have gained a lot of experience in organising events such as Feuerzangenbowle, summer barbecues and ESE. I would like to use this experience next year to organise more great events.
In addition to committee work in the study commission and faculty council, I have represented our university at the ZaPF, the Federal Student Council Conference for Physics, and would like to continue doing so.
For the Faculty Council, you can vote for the Physics Student Council list, which includes friendly student members and myself as deputy.
I enjoy working for the FSR and would therefore be delighted to receive your vote. Happy voting!
Sophia Pfuetzer
Hello, I'm Sophia and I went to school in Döbeln. I'm currently in my first semester of my bachelor's degree. I would like to represent the perspective of first-year students in the FSR. I also enjoy helping to organise events and would like to do the same in the FSR.

Luca Julien Fischer
Hi, I'm Luca, I'm from Erfurt and I'm in my third semester of a master's degree in physics. I have been an elected member of the Physics Student Council (φ-FSR) for a very long time (= 8 semesters; help! I'm getting old...). I am currently the spokesperson, look after IT and am a member of various committees. In my free time, I enjoy sports – currently cycling and running. I am particularly looking forward to introducing new people to the FSR's work and am therefore standing for re-election.
In a nutshell: I enjoy working for the FSR. ⇒ Please vote for me again!
Jesper Jonna Wehnert
Hello, my name is Jesper Jonna and I am studying Physics in my 5th bachelor semester. I've been active in the FSR for one semester und am now putting myself up for election for the first time. Up until now I've mostly been helping with events, but I hope I can stand up for your interests a little more in the future. I would not only do this in the students council, but also in the faculty council. If you want to lend me your trust, you can do so by voting for me at the universities elections.

Henning Schorr
Hey, I'm Henning and I went to school in Kamenz. I'm now in my third semester studying to become a secondary school teacher, specialising in physics and philosophy. This election, I am now entering my third and fourth semesters at the PFSR. I am currently the course coordinator (StuGaKo) for physics teaching and would like to continue in this role. The FSR is one of the bodies that allows us to fight back against the injustices imposed on us by the university and politicians. We also try to organise a few events to provide some distraction for you. So the elections are pretty important. If you don't know who to vote for, vote for Johannes. Since we are only a small student council, I will get my votes anyway. Be sure to vote!
Nathan Cassack
Hello, I am Nathan. I am studying Physics in my 5th bachelor semester and have been an elected member of the student council for a year. So far, I’ve mainly helped with public relations and events, but I also sit on several committees (the Practical Lab Commission and the Examination Board for the master’s program and teacher training), and I am responsible for the cozy corner. Since I really enjoy working in the student council and find it important that we can continue advocating for better study conditions and a strong sense of community among students, I am running for election again this year – not only for the student council, but also for the Faculty Council.

Johannes Schumann
Hi there, I am Johannes 👋. I am currently the deputy spokesperson of the FSR and active in various committees. In the FSR, I am involved in things like public relations as well as planning and organizing many events (the ESE, creative or karaoke nights, or a visit to our trusted observatory ⭐). It’s especially important to me that my work promotes inclusive and healthy practices in teaching, learning, and everyday life.
This year, you can give me not only your vote for the FSR, but also a mandate on the School Council of the School of Science. The School Council, for example, allocates funding for equality measures.
With me, you will have a reliable voice on both the School Council and the FSR ❤️.
Jonathan Moeller
Yoyo, I'm Jona and I'm in my seventh semester studying to become a secondary school teacher in physics and ethics/philosophy (Henning is a copycat). After a year's break, I would like to be re-elected to the φ-FSR for the coming legislative period in order to represent the interests of teacher training students in the ‘Expert Commission on Teacher Training’, support public relations work and help with events. :]
The issue of equality is particularly close to my heart. Last semester, I therefore launched the ANTI* evenings (agender, non-binary, trans, inter and other genderqueer gender identities) with fellow students, and I am also involved in the FLINTA* breakfasts (women, lesbians and ANTI*).
You can vote for me this year for both the FSR and the position of Deputy Equal Opportunities Officer for the faculty. I appreciate every vote, but it is much more important that you actually go and vote!

Claas Torben Matthäus
Aloa, my name is Claas and I am currently in my 7th semester of my bachlor studies. I am an elected member of the student council since my first semester. In addition to the student council I stand for election as a member of the faculty council. I decided to run for office again to continue representing student interests and prolonge my engagement for different events.
Malte Stollberg
Hi, I’m Malte — I'm in my first semester of physics and recently moved here from Bavaria. I enjoy working with people and would love to help organize fun events for all of you. It’s also important to me that first-year students have their interests represented in the FSR.

Alexander Bähr
Dear physics students, my name is Alexander and I am currently studying in the first master semester. Before I went to Brazil for an exchange year in 2024 I had already worked for the FSR for 2 years. I was particularly involved in organizing evets like our summer-barbecue and the Feuerzangenbowle, but did participate in several committees aswell.
In the next legislative term I would like to continue this work as an elected member, promoting our events and therefore university culture and improving study conditions for bachelor and master students in the commitees.
By realizing your opportunity to vote, you would ensure an active student opinion at the university, so it is highly recommended to join the elections if you want to have an influence on your study programm.
